Question for believers, heaven or earth?

just trying to figure out what i believe in the wake of leaving the borg.

jesus message appeals, of course.

i just wanted to ask believers, christians, on this forum if you think the hope is heaven or earth.

TornN2, My life did not begin until I left WT. I am doing what I want and I wanted to live on a beautiful paradise earth with the animals, kind people and meet my resurrected relatives, from way back.

So, what I am doing, is, I live in beautiful surroundings of my choice. Every day I am happy and free. Yesterday, Baby Dear, a sweet wild deer born 2 years ago, came by with her son. Last year, she came up to our kitchen window (we call it the take out window) and we fed her pieces of apple on the end of a chop stick through the open window. Yesterday, they both ate apple pieces together. So sweet!

Slowly but surely I am learning about the history of my relatives. I am rather impressed. I would like to meet them in person, as I was promised by WT/GB but honestly, that is a pipe dream. For JW's, that is the carrot WT holds out for sheeple in exchange for free labor and money from their innocent victims pockets. The GB has the 'gold' and makes the 'rules'. The sheeples are their slaves to their bidding. That is all. Plain and simple.

There is no Big A. There is no paradise earth. There is no eternal life with eternal perfect health. There is no Santa Claus and no Easter Bunny. Sorry. You were lied to.

i am wondering if my deceased elder father was awake?

once we found out he was dying, i spent every moment i could with him, we were very close.

anyway, i offered to read to him a lot when he was resting.

Welcome to the forum.

To me it sounds like your Elder Father could have been a member here or at least a lurker. He gave you some wonderful advise. Did he have access to a computer 10 years and more ago? If he did, then, I would say he knew TTATT. (The truth about the 'Truth'). If he was not computer literate then I would say he woke up, figured out the WT/GB were shysters on his own.

I am happy for him and you that you had some time together.

OR....The Special Day is coming up and I have a sneaking feeling that he will be asked to be on the platform. Does anyone have any experience in these matters? I do not want him to be on the platform, with all it's 'glory' and adoration. I am trying to keep him level headed and I'm afraid this will push him the other way.

Unfortunately, I know of situations where they 'used' JW children from divided families at assembly's to make them feel important and to get back at the DF'd apostate mate. It is WT gang warfare at it's finest. This made the children hate their DF parent all the more. They had 'crowd' approval. clapclapclapclapclap

-----> There are so many delightful things for 'tweens to do other than sit at the KHall, hearing adult drone cult oppressive do's and don't and doctrines and cult words that change all the time plus hate speech against other religions and gays. Is he in after school sports or music lessons? What does HE want to do? Where do his interests lie, now and for his future? What ever he is interested in, I would have appreciated a tutor and a mentor, to guide me to help me make wise decisions for my future.

Yes, here on JWN there are a number of people that we meet and when they stop posting, I wonder what happened to them.

Almost 2 years ago, there was a fellow from California that mentioned he comes from a family line that gets sick around middle age and dies. He was uncertain about seeing his doctor, incase, he to, had the family 'curse'.

His user name was "Rotten Riley". Has anyone been in touch with him or know how he is?

i haven't seen this article before but i apologize if this has been discussed.. i decided to download a bunch of jw literature and came across this special bulletin from 1928, a special colporteur edition.

it was written by the society and sent to the roughly 1400 colporteurs, which is someone pushing religious books and magazines.

if you want the entire bulletin id be happy to email it.

grew up in east la in a bad neighborhood to a black mother and white father.

i never knew my father because he died in a car accident when i was a few weeks old.

my mother converted as a jw soon after when two sisters came to her door and offered her comfort, which was something she needed.

Finally time to move on

i have finally reached the point where i can forget that i was ever involved with such a $!%* cult as jehovahs witnesses.

(a situation that has taken over 20 years to achieve).. this discussion board certainly helped in this process, and i want to thank everybody for their support over the time that i have been a member both of this site and the old www.jehovahs-witness.com website (where i used the acronym reefton jack).

it is now, though, time to move on with my life, so i will say my farewells to everybody.. bill .

let me make one thing clear i'm not the reason for the divorce.

Oh, sweet love... I remember it well... from many decades ago.

Let me say first, I believe in love and I am happy you both found it together. That's the easy part. The hard part is that she most likely will be shunned by old friends and family members, that is, unless you get inoculated with the JW germ as well. You will be love bombed. They will try to make you a JW drone too. What a feather in someone's cap, if they can get you studied with and baptized!

If you marry and have children, will you allow your child, if they have a bleeding disorder that the doctors say can be fixed with blood transfusions, to have one?

If you marry and have a hard time conceiving, will you go for IVF? JW's do not believe in it.

Do you like oral sex? JW's don't do it. Watch Tower bedroom rules.

If you marry and have children, will you want your wife and children to be away, not doing fun hobbies, but learning how to indoctrinate others into the JW cult?

If you marry, your JW wife is encouraged to speak out about her faith at every opportunity. How would that work for you if you are invited over to the boss's house for dinner?

If you really love her and marry and do not go to meetings or assemblys with her, she will be treated like she does not exist and that is even if she is a JW in good standing, as in not DF. If she marries you, she will be considered bad association, which means generally, given the cold shoulder at the KHall or people more or less just say hi and bye to her. If you marry and do go to meetings and assemblys with her, brothers will think they have a chance of a Bible study with you, ugh.

I think a great idea would be if you and her asked an Elder and wife to come visit, (or you go to their house) that you had some questions. (Heads up. JW's once baptized are not allowed to question anything! Or you will be disfellowshipped). Say you saw the Australian Royal Commission and that in 50 years, over 1000 known pedophiles were not reported to the Police. JW's are the same if not worse than the Catholics! How do you explain this?

PS Why do people, such as JW's, think, because authoritative men tell them they won't die... they believe it? Hello. Everything living, dies. Zsa Zsa Gabor was a beautiful, talented woman too. She was born in 1917 and is still alive. We all have uniqueness and after a span of life, we die. That's it. Enjoy today. I almost got run over last night. I am enjoying today.
